Trail Watch Program

Trail Watch Program

Trail Watch Volunteers assist the Park Rangers in keeping our 80 miles of trails safe and enjoyable for all. Volunteers, ages 16 and older, will be trained in trail etiquette and reporting procedures. Identified by a brightly colored vest and ID badge, volunteers serve as "extra eyes and ears" on the trails. Trail Watch Volunteers report safety hazards, lost persons or suspicious activity. They will not be asked to intervene in potentially dangerous situations, only report them. Trail Watch Volunteers must be 16 years of age and attend a 2-hour training class. All classes from 7 - 9 pm.
