The Spanish Lake Fire District covers a 19 square mile area and operates from two station houses and an Administration Building/Training Center.

Engine Co. 5110 is a Rescue/Pumper. It carries 750 gallons of water and a wide assortment of rescue tools and responds from Station 1 at 12220 Bellefontaine Road. Station 1 also houses a 2004 Chevrolet Pick Up, a Zodiak Inflatable Rescue Boat, a Hazardous Materials Incident Decontamination trailer, an 8 wheeled all terrain search vehicle and a Breathing Air Unit. Christian Hospital Advanced Life Support Ambulance 5118 also responds from Station 1.

The Spanish Lake Fire District has mutual aid agreements with all fire departments and districts in St. Louis County, the Rivers Pointe Fire District in St. Charles County and the City of St. Louis. The District also participates in the State wide mutual aid program. The Riverview Fire Protection District and City of St. Louis are on the southern boundaries of the district and the Black Jack Fire Protection District is on the western boundaries.

The Fire District is staffed by 20 Professional Fire Fighters and EMT's who work 24 hour shifts on three platoons. Emergency Services are provided by the Fire Fighters to the District 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The Fire Fighters responded to 1,743 in 2008 and expect to exceed that number by the end of 2009.

We salute all the men and women who devoted their untiring effort and time in organizing the beginnings of the Spanish Lake Fire Protection District, and those who have served since then, both on the Board of Directors and as Fire Fighters.
